Many homes in the Chicagoland area have Dryvit Exteriors (or EFIS) and have had issues with moisture.

When it is time to replace the Dryvit exterior, many home owners will use a combination of new siding materials to replace existing Dryvit exterior. The damaged Dryvit needs to be removed; replace any damaged plywood sheathing, and make sure the windows are properly flashed.

Stone veneers are frequently used as one of the siding systems and either Hardie board siding and stucco or a combination of both are used as the new siding system.

Do you have questions about your siding and need help deciding which options are best? We can help you decide whether the siding on your house, or even a house you are considering purchasing needs work done to remove the existing exterior.
